The Terms and Conditions document sets out the terms and conditions between SME and you when you register for any event or conference organized by SME, including the 2024 Minnesota Conference. By registering for the 2024 Minnesota Conference organized by SME you are agreeing to comply with these terms and conditions. You should read this document carefully.

Prior to your registration, you must acknowledge and accept the Registration Terms & Conditions. Should you not wish to accept the Terms & Conditions you should not register.

Submission of a registration is regarded as affirmation of your acceptance of the Event Terms & Conditions.

 

Registration Policy

All attendees, authors, exhibitors and sponsors at the SME Minnesota Conference are required to register.

Nonmember authors/chairs may register at the member rate using the discount code provided.

Badges are required for admittance to the technical sessions, exhibit hall functions and social functions. The appropriate badge is required for admittance to the technical sessions and exhibit hall functions and will be checked at the entrance of all activities. Exhibits-only registrations are NOT permitted to attend the technical sessions.

 

Wire Transfer Policy

If paying by wire transfer, the registrant is responsible for paying any bank fees associated with the wire transfer. When contacting your bank about the wire, you will need to request that 57A field is changed from either “Share” or “SHA” to “OUR”. This will make all fees paid upfront by the sending party.

 

Member

Members must have paid 2024 dues to receive member pricing. Nonmember full conference registrations include a complimentary pro-rated SME membership that will remain active until December 31, 2024. Discounted non-member registrations that include, but are not limited to, Discounted Author Rates and Complimentary Sponsor and Exhibitor Registrations do not include complimentary memberships.

 

Student Registration Policy

Student registration for the SME Minnesota Conference must meet eligibility requirements. SME requires that an individual must be attending a college/university/higher education institute on a full-time basis to qualify for student registration. Student registrations may be required to provide evidence of full-time status. Students enrolled in 12 or more semester credit hours are considered full-time. Acceptable confirmation includes: transcript, most recent report card, or official school registration documents. Student registrations without this documentation will not be eligible for the reduced student rate.

 

Cancellation/Substitution Policy

If circumstances require you to cancel your SME Minnesota Conference registration, you must do so in writing. Written notice must be sent to meetings@smenet.org Cancellations received on or before March 7, 2024, will receive a full refund, less a processing fee of $100.00. There are no refunds for no-shows and cancellations received after March 7, 2024. Substitutions will be accepted in writing at no charge until March 7, 2024. After March 7, 2024, a $25 fee will be charged for substitutions.

Registrants are responsible for cancellation of their own hotel accommodations.
